Waterloo WL-S Guitar

Waterloo WL-S Guitar

We love all of the Waterloo models that Collings has come up with but the Waterloo WL-S may just be the house favorite. This lovely little guitar is patterned after the Stella and Galiano guitars made in New Jersey and New York in the 1920s. It’s a small 12-fret, just 14 inches wide in the lower bout (so slightly larger than a Martin size 0) and the back and sides are solid North American cherry, with a solid spruce top. The top is ladder-braced, a style that was used on many guitars from the period. This is a great guitar for songwriting since it’s so small it tucks under your arm, but really it’s a great guitar for any situation where small size with a big sound is suitable. In other words, just about anytime!
